Since 2000, Chris has been providing accounting, auditing, and consulting services to clients and employers primarily in the insurance industry. Service provided include planning, supervising, and directing multiple audits of insurance companies, their affiliates, and parent companies.
Chris rejoined THF in 2013, where he spent the first 11 years of his career with THF and another regional accounting firm. Prior to rejoining THF, Chris served as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, one of the largest property insurers in the U.S.
His responsibilities with Citizens included the design and implementation of the program for management of risks to company-wide organizational goals and objectives spanning over 50 business units, 12 locations, 3 cities, and approximately 2,200 full-time personnel. Additionally, Chris conducted risk assessments at Citizens in various areas, including data privacy, vendor management, and underwriting, and reengineered the business continuity program for over 400 processes and 150 systems and applications.
Prior to his experience with Citizens, Chris served as the Vice President and Controller for a start-up multi-line insurance group where he designed and implemented all accounting and financial reporting systems and applications to facilitate decision-making and comply with regulatory reporting requirements.
In addition to being a CPA, Chris has earned the designation of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Chris has passed the first of three examinations to earn an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and served as a speaker for Enterprise Risk Management.
